Scripture: Luke 18:7.
And shall God not Avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, and though he bear long with them?
The word persistence is the ability to continue firmly in a course of action, in spite of difficulty or opposition.
Victory is possible through a persistent approach, having the “never giving up” approach. Many have failed in life and battles that confronted them on their journey to destiny because they lack the ability to stay and stand firm in the face of oppositions. The fear of “I might not win” has stoped many great men from advancing. The scripture said “if thou faint in the days of adversity then your strength is small. Proverbs 24:10” Winning requires a degree of persistence. Winners are those who never accept failure as a reality but as an event. They see failure as a motivation not damnation. If you sturdy the book of Luke 18 from verse 1, Jesus was speaking to His disciples in parable. He began with “men ought always to pray and not faint”. If you know what you are aiming for, you are not permitted to faint, no matter the level of opposition. You must be ready to go through them to your victory. He continued the parable and He gave a story of a judge who feared not God nor man, and a widow came to this judge seeking justice. Repeatedly, the judge kept on denying her justice. This woman kept coming back to trouble the judge. She knew the judge was wicked, she knew he might not answer her. But she understood the power of been persistent. She kept coming back, she knew exactly what she wanted and was not ready to take “no” for an answer. She kept on troubling the judge until the judge said “even if I am wicked I need to answer to this woman not because am good, not because she is a widow, but because she is persistent.“
Many times it’s not our status God answers to, neither is our emotional display. He responds to our “never giving up” attitude. The Angel had no choice because Jacob was not ready to let him go. He had to bless him because he was ready to go all the way.
Beloved, you can’t afford to give up now, your miracle is just by the door. Something big is unveiling and you can not let your strength fail you now. One more push might just be all you need. Verse 7 said “will God not avenge his own elect, who consistently with all the delays, opposition they still pray day and night to him.” Will He not answer them if a wicked judge can respond to a persistent woman? The righteous God certainly will do more.
Be not weary brother be not weary sister. In due season your miracle will manifest. I am glad to tell someone reading this today that your due season you have been waiting for, this week is that due season you have been waiting for. I wait your testimony.
Declaration
I declare, today I claim my victory by persistence. My strength is renewed this morning. I refuse to give up, am going all the way for my victory and nothing is stoping me. Today, it is my due season. My day is blessed.
