Scripture: John 19:30 (KJV)
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Happy Good Friday! Today, bring us the memories of the process that leads to our eternal redemption. Today, we remember all the sacrifices, from gethsemane to Golgotha. We remember the pains of the strokes, the accusations, the betrayal, the denial, the mockery and eventually the pain of been hunged on the cross and the sword peaking through his skin and the final giving up of the ghost and declared
“IT is finished.”
Good Friday is about that sacrifice that brought about the eternal victory we still enjoy today. While the devil was enjoying seeing him scream in pains, the pains was paving way for your gains. While the soldiers took turn to flog him, they never knew they where preparing cure for all manners of sickness an deceases. While they put a heavy cross on him to carry, they never knew He was bearing the weight of the sins of the world. While they where shouting “crucify him crucify him”, they never knew he was loosing few friends to gain the world as friend.
I want you to sit back and reflect on all He had to go through to save you, and reflect on what His sacrifices has done for you and still doing for you. Reflect on the significance of today and begin to claim victory for your life and family, victory over sickness and decease, victory over premature death, victory over disgrace and pain, victory over strongholds of sin, and victory over the kingdom of darkness. Begin to claim these victory.
All Jesus went through for you is for you not to ever go through them again. Jesus declared as His will,
it is finished.
The last word of Christ is His will which you are a part of today. “When a man leaves a will, his children and very beneficiary of that will, partake of the last words of that man” When a rich man dies his family scramble to know what is in his will and when it is read, the beneficiaries celebrates.
The will of Christ is made public and am glad to tell you, you are a beneficiary. His will said. IT IS FINISHED. Your pain, troubles, sickness, poverty, delay and all you are passing through right now,
it is finished!
Rejoice this morning, as you celebrate and remember Good Friday. Just remember Jesus said it is finished. You are not permitted to remain in that trouble. You are free in the name of Jesus.
Declaration
I declare, today according to the last statement of Christ on the cross, I decree it is finished. The persisting troubles, the repeated battles, the pains and sickness, poverty and disappointments. It is finished. Am free. My day is blessed.
