Scripture: Exodus 28:2
And thou shall make a holy garment for Aaron thy brother, for glory and for beauty.
Garments represent identity or coverage. They reveals status and also positions. You can tell of someone’s status by what he or she is putting on.
Cases like Joseph in a prison garment; Genesis 37:3, beggarly garment like Blind Bartimaeus Mark 10:46 or a priestly garment, like that of Aaron and the kings robe.
Where garments reveals status or position, it is also for coverage. God was the first to make a garment in Genesis 3:21 and it was for coverage. Adam and Eve had just discovered they where naked and the Lord made them cloths to put on and cover their nakedness.
What we wear, play a major role in who we are and what we are. Today, we are not just speaking of what you’re wearing physically, we are also addressing garments. The scripture has often pointed to us how garments represented people’s destiny. Like the case of Joseph, who his father got a coat of many colors for, was a picture of his destiny. We are also aware that this same Joseph, what announced his death was the same garment. Remember his brothers took his coat, killed an animal and painted the coat with the blood of the animal to convince their father that he (Joseph) was dead. This same Joseph, it was also his garment that sent him to prison, when he struggled to flee, and left his cloth during the process in the hand of the wife of Potiphar, that became and evidence against him. This same Joseph had a prison garment on, before pharaoh asked that the garment should be changed.
Garments can also play a major part of who you attract: The story of Joshua, the high priest clearly stated to us that the devil was standing at his right hand because his garment was filthy – (Zechariah 3:3-5.) Until God rebuked him. Garment can play a major role in what and who gain access to us.
Beloved, garments are not just clothes, they are who you are, and that is why enemies will always do anything to see your garment stained. They know it is their free pass to torment you and cause you to fall. But i am glad there is a room to change filthy garments. I am saying to you that Garments can be replaced. Whatever garment they have put on you to misrepresent your destiny, God is giving you a new garment.
Our scriptural text reads: Thou shall make a holy garment for Aaron, the garment won’t just be another cloths, but it wil bring him glory and beauty.
The garment you wear determines the honor you command. Your beauty is directly connected to your garment. Today, the word of God can not be broken, any garment, misrepresenting you in life and destiny, is replaced with the garment of glory and honor. Any prison garment that have kept you or your family in bondage, today I set that prison garment on fire. Beggars garment to keep you down financially, today you are wearing a new garment. You will begin to attract everything good from today in the name of Jesus. Become an attraction for good and great things from today in Jesus Name!
