Scripture: Psalms 66:3
Say unto God, how terrible art thou in thy works! Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
The greek word for power is Exousia, which means Authority, Control, Dominion. Power is the force that puts enemies under a man’s feet. Power is the only language enemies respond to.
A man came back home from a Christmas holiday, after which every night is one attack to another. Tired of this attacks he started praying more every night before he goes to bed. Unfortunately, the attack persisted. The man got frustrated and decided to share his experience with his friend and they both prayed together and yet the attack persist. This time he grew weary of the situation and was almost loosing his mind. The question is why didin’t prayer stop the attack?
Many of us suffers this same fate, going through one pain or the other. We have prayed but still nothing has changed. Beloved, it’s not your prayers that brings enemies to submission, it is POWER. Prayers must be accompany with power to bring your enemies to submission. The force behind your word is what drives your enemies out.
“Through the greatness of thy power, shall thine enemies submit to thee.” They watch you go to church, watch you pray, watch you call yourself a Christian… What they have not seen is power.
Power give you control over powers. Power is the answer to consistent troubles. It is the answer to that never ending tears. Power is the answer to the constant harassment and intimidation, power is the answer to that delay.
“And the enemies submitted…”
Today as you begin the journey of this week, as you step out to go to work, as you engage life, confront issues, your enemies will submit to you. The power to bring your enemies under your feet receive it now. In the name of Jesus they shall submit to you that seeks your down fall.
