Scripture: Luke 24:49
Behold, I send the promise of my father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
A young man went out for evangelism and meet some group of boys smoking. He thought to himself they certainly need Jesus and decided to approach them. He introduced himself as a preacher of the Gospel, this group of boys immediately started making jest of the young preacher. They tried to force their cigarette on him. While they where on it the boy begged them to stop and one of them calm the rest and told them he had an idea. After talking with his friends, they came back to the preacher and asked him if his God was real he should show them a sign, and the preacher said to them, to know God is real just give me a moment to pray. They agreed and asked him to take as much time he wants, while the young preacher opened his mouth to pray the power of God came down descended on the boys. They all fell under the power and started to cry, begging God for mercy.
The world is urgently looking for proof, they want to see power, they want to see the tangibility of the word you preach. John 1:14: “…and the word became flesh.”
Christianity has no taste without power, darkness has no respect for status nor position. The only thing darkness answers to is power.
Power is a must for the end time church. Christianity without power is a frustrated religion. No matter how religious you are, pharaoh will not let you go if you can’t prove yourself.
Jesus said to them there is an assignment to fulfill but first tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you receive power. To answer to this world you need power, to answer to systems you need power.
Today, desire power. Tell God to fill you with power, sincerely desire power and you will be filled. I see power coming alive in you. I declare as you confront life, you are backed up with power, all round victory and unending blessings.
Confession
Today I declare, I am backed up with power, everything I do today is working for my good, I am victorious in all I confront, victory is mine today. My day is blessed.
