Scripture: Ephesians 2:6
And hath raised us up together, and made us seat together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
The remaining days of this month, I will be sharing the benefits of resurrection. Many of us understands resurrection as a historical events of the resurrection of Christ, some understand it as a future event that will be when He shall return with a sounding shout and the dead in Christ shall rise again – 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.
While we focus on the history of resurrection and the future resurrection, I want you to begin to look at the great benefits which is a made possible even today. Beloved, there is a present benefit of resurrection. By the Grace of God, I will be sharing them with you.
Today we shall look at the first present benefit.Raised up in him, seating in heavenly places with him and in him.
This is one of the most confusing statements in the scripture to a lot of believers. Paul didn’t seems to make it simple enough for our understanding, we just can’t understand why it was said “we where raised up with him and with him in heavenly places.” Many argue I was not there when he was killed, and i am still here not with Him. While many other Christians has concluded “I just believe God’s Word so what ever it says is what it is.” But as the Holy Spirit gives understanding, I will make it as simple as I can.
“And hath raised us up together…” The death of Christ is not as a result of His sin or actions. He wasn’t been punished for His actions but was receiving the punishment meant for you and I. And so, literarily, it was you and me on the cross. He died for the past, the present and the future. This is how we where involved in the process of His death, burial and resurrection. He died with you and I on the cross. He was buried with you and I right in that grave and on the third day, the power of God didn’t just raised Him but also raised you and I together with him.
Beloved, the benefit is you where raised with him. Today, you are by the mystery of resurrection raised up from all manner of pain and troubles. Grave of any kind has no power to accommodate you. This is the mindset you must carry when dealing with the enemies. You have overcome, raised up with Him and seated together with him in heavenly places. Beloved, you are above those things that threatens you and your destiny. You are not in their level. You are seated with Him and in Him. As Christ sits in heaven, you are right where He is. You must operate in this revelation: What can’t touch Christ, can’t touch me. I am with Him and in Him. What can’t kill Him can’t kill me, i am in Him and with Him, if He can’t be poor, I can’t be poor, I am in Him and with Him.
Carry this mindset this morning. This is the today benefit of resurrection. This reality will change everything about you and the way you see things and you will begin to enjoy this benefits. It is your season and it is turning around for your good in Jesus name.
Declaration
I declare, today i am living the benefits of resurrection. I am raised in Him, seated together with Him and in Him in the heavenly places far above the wickedness of this world. My day is blessed.
