Scripture: 1 Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
The phrase Resurrection is actually far more deeper than we have taken it. To many persons, it is a sermon we jave heard in the church and to others, it is a phrase that announces the coming back to life of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead.
While we pounder again on that word resurrection. I want you to picture Jesus walking out of the grave, defeated the most fearless enemy of mankind. He is not just risen, he defeated death. Made a public disgrace of the grave.
The word resurrection is from the Latin word ”Resurgere.” Meaning, “Rise again.” What was dead, defeated, has risen again.
Resurrection is not just a Christian word that only describe the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, it is a word that also describe our hope. Hope for enteral life, hope for salvation, hope for faith in Jesus without a doubt. Hope for all He promised is possible in our lives. Just imagine after all the so much talked about His suffering, pain, and death, and He remain in the grave, what would have been our hope?
“Blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy. Has begotten us unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”
He has begotten us unto a lively hope, his resurrection brought not just hope but a lively hope. Hope that all that was lost can be regained, hope that chains that have hold us down in demonic cages can be broken, hope that this persisting pain and trouble can come to an end.
Your hope for victory this morning is that he is risen. Death could not hold him bound.
Today I see you stepping into that victory brought by His resurrection. Whatever you are going through this morning, rejoice in this hope something new is about to happen. Beloved rejoice in this hope and you will celebrate again. Congratulations.
Declaration
I declare today, His resurrection has brought me hope. Hope for all that He promised, hope for restoration, hope for total freedom. Today I receive the joy that comes from resurrection, my life is taking a new turn for good, my day is blessed.
