Scripture: 2 Samuel 22:35
He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel be broken my my arms.
Life is a battle field and this battle require not just strength and zeal. One area most neglected as we face life and it’s many challenges, is skills. Skills are abilities to effectively use ur knowledge. The keyword is “effective.”
Many possesses the strength to face what comes their way, but most times, not the skills to handle it. We have repeated afflictions, repeated battles because we build so much around strength, you conclude because of your effort then result should follow. Let’s talk about spiritual warfare, I have heard repeatedly, the complaints of many Christians who feels they have applied all the strength they have in prayers but the battle seems not to end. Beloved, warfare has rules of engagement. Time won’t permit to go through them on just this one write up, but I will sum it up by saying, prayers are are certain tool to fight spiritual warfare, but the prayers that command result are what the scripture called the “effectual and fervent prayers” of a righteous man. The Bible said “it maketh tremendous power available” James 5:16. The prayers that commands result is effectual and fervent prayers. The word effectual is to produce or capable of producing intended result. There are prayers that are capable of producing intended results. What is required in warfare is not just strength but skills which means having knowledge of what you engage. You can’t win until you know. So also is life. We are confronted with issues on a daily basis. Many times, what confronts us are not the issues but our response. Your response most times is what determine the life span of that problem confronting you, and we all respond accordingly. We respond by the level of the knowledge we possess. David said emphatically, “The Lord teacheth my hands to war.” Meaning he has thought me how to respond to what confronts me. Every battle requires different degree of approach. It’s only skills in warfare that teaches you that. David went further to say “so that a bow of steel will be broken by my arms.” Your effectiveness in battle is as a result of the skills available to you. As you step out this morning, ask the Lord to teach you the skill for effective response. No matter what you confront, I see your day ending in victory. All that you confront today will end in your victory.
Declaration
I declare, today I receive grace for effective response. I possess the skills to answer effectively, whatever may come my way. I am victorious on every side. My day is blessed.
